Ashton Dominic Winter

On September 16, 2008 my younger sister (Mariela) had a beautiful healthy boy at 4:22pm.  His name is Ashton Dominic Winter and he weighed 6 lbs 11 oz at birth and was 19 inches long and super cute! Zachary and i were lucky enough to get off of work that day (which was also Zach's bday) to travel to NY for the delivery.  We saw him a few minutes after he was born....we were in love immediately.  We were also able to see him 4 days later in NJ and then again at 19 days.  Hopefully one day we will live closer to them so that we can see them more frequently! 

What we have been up to!

So just to fill you in on what zach and i have been up to this past year...i figured i would blog.  I graduated from UCONN School of Dental Medicine in May of '08 and am now doing a 1 year residency at Hartford Hospital.  So far I am enjoying my residency program and I am so glad i am doing it! I have learned a ton of different ways to do procedures and have gotten a lot faster already and its only been 3 months!  Another plus is that 1 of my closest friends (Courtney) is doing the program with me. I just started looking for jobs for next year....but just browsing and networking so far since I don't want to rush into things! Ideally i would love to get a job that is <3o min away so that we could stay in bristol for 2-3 more years and save more $ for a bigger house somewhere else.  I will keep you updated on my job hunt in the near future.  We just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on Sept 1st.  I can't believe how time flies! We went to to cape cod and martha's vineyard for the weekend.....it was so relaxing.  We stayed at the Bayside Resort in Cape Cod.  We got there on Friday and went out for a nice dinner.  On Sat, due to the weather we decided to go to Martha's Vineyard.  We took the Lady Martha and spent the day driving around in a moped....it was hilarious...i felt like dumb and dumber. We ate lunch and dinner there at 2 different restaurants....they were both delicious.  We also had a ton of margarita's at Sharky's cantina....yummy! Sunday and Monday we went to 2 different beaches.   They were both beautiful. On Sunday we went to the coast guard beach and on sunday we went to Seagull Beach.  My favorite was coast guard beach, although they didnt sell any food.  But besides that it was a fabulous weekend! Zach ended up getting me a $300 GC from Tiffany's! I got us a mini carvel icecream cake since my mom threw out the top of our wedding cake.  We enjoyed it! I also got him Patriots tickets! We went to the opening pat's game of the season.  It was beautiful weather and the pat's won! However, Tom Brady got hurt and is now out for the season:( Either way we had a blast!  On Sept. 16th (Zach's 28th bday) we got a new addition to our family.  My younger sister mariela gave birth to a healthy boy named Ashton.  I will blog more about him later!

Hi everyone! i decided to start a blog since it's hard to keep in touch with everyone.  I know everyone has busy lives and most of you don't live nearby, so i figure this would be a good way to keep in touch with everyone! i will try to post as much as possible.
